Three rooms full of history, emotion, and interactive art are covered in the tour. A journey that invites visitors to explore Frida from a distinctive and profound perspective, going beyond the visual.
There is an exclusive photography exhibition in the first room where you can view never-before-seen pictures of the famous artist.
Through the display of her real letters, which reveal her hardships and closest relationships, the second room invites you to discover Frida's most private thoughts and feelings.
Last but not least, the third room provides a life-changing sensory experience in the Live Art Room, where interactive art stimulates all of your senses to creatively explore the history that shaped her life and artwork.
After touring these three rooms, visitors can savor a unique culinary experience that showcases the genuine tastes of Mexican food. A five-course Mexican tasting menu inspired by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera's wedding banquet is available for guests to participate in after the art experience. Mestizo Chelsea's menu offers a historical perspective on Mexican cuisine from the early 20th century by reinterpreting dishes from their 1929 wedding. Traditional Mexican spirits are highlighted with a tasting of Teremana tequila and mezcal.
The project, which was created in collaboration with UN Women, aims to use Kahlo's legacy to advance discussions about gender equality and the elimination of violence against women.
