Reopens today in Milan, in the spaces of La Fabbrica del Vapore, this splendid exhibition that offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the artistic life and the human dimension of Frida Kahlo.
The exhibition is structured in such a way as to let the visitor enter the spaces and environments in which the artist lived. Through her writings and the reproduction of works and places, it will be possible to understand the relationships that the woman lived, especially with Diego Rivera. Jewels, clothes and objects from her daily life will be on display.
The exhibition welcomes the public with a multimedia section that presents the artist's biography and the events that have marked his history. Immediately after, the exhibition comes alive thanks to the reproduction of the three most experienced environments by Frida at Casa Azul, the Mexican mansion built in the French style by Guillermo Kahlo in 1904 where the artist lived: the bedroom, the study and the garden.
Immediately after, we continue with the section The colors of the soul, curated by Alejandra Matiz, director of the Leo Matiz Foundation in Bogotà, which includes the photographic portraits of Frida made by the Colombian photographer Leonet Matiz Espinoza (1917-1988) in moments of everyday life. Then there are the reproductions in modlight format of fifteen self-portraits that Frida made during her artistic career.
A very rich exhibition that also offers an important digital part.
