Asia Argento pays omage to Frida in the cover of "I'm broken", her new single feat. Dj Gruff

"I'm broken" anticipates on Sept. 17th the forthcoming album "Music from my bed", a mix of electronic, rap, English and Roman dialect.
Conceived by Asia Argento in the bedroom during forced isolation due to an accident, the artist renews and reinvents himself thanks to her incredible talent.
The cover, by Spanish cartoonist Miguel Angel Martin, is an homage to Frida Kahlo who was also forced to bed due to an unfortunate accident and where, in fact, she painted a lot of her most beautiful works.
“I threw up the text on one of Holly's tracks, I needed to write it so much that I finished it in twenty minutes - Asia explains. I wanted to tell about my physical and moral torment, but Holly's beat was so cheerful, full of hope that, instead of crying over my miseries, I wrote a self-ironic text. I remember that I had written a part in which I made a parallel between myself and Frida Kahlo. I realized that it was risky: I naturally didn't want to compare myself to her as an artist, but her resilience, her way of using art to exorcise her illness, being able to paint when she was bedridden, were a huge inspiration to write the first text, and all the others that followed".
