A ballet from Frida's poetry "You deserve a love" in the virtual AMREF project by Fiorella Mannoia

The Italian singer Fiorella Mannoia is also an amateur photographer exhibiting at the virtual show “With other eyes. Africa that looks to the future” the pictures of her latest journey to Africa together with Amref. "Through my passion for photography, I tried to catch the eyes of an Africa trying to turn the page," says Fiorella Mannoia, almost two years after her trip to Kenya. “In those days I met dozens of extraordinary girls. I was moved by the effort that so many men and village leaders are putting into the fight against mutilation."

The objective of the exhibition is to underline that ""The only love worthy of existing is the one that is able to show respect, to make you fly and to raise".

It is necessary to raise man's awareness about women rights and the virtual room dedicated to Frida Kahlo show to this aim a ballet project based on her poetry "You deserve a love".

The project, titled "The Complex Flight of Frida" ballet, was borne out of a collaboration between Filippo Chiesa (Director/DP), Antonella Albano (Principal Dancer of the Ballet Company of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan), Piero Salvatori (Composer and Musician) and Paolo Rossini (Actor).

The videoclip was realized on Nov. 30th 2020 in Parma at the monumental complex of the Pilotta, where the the dancer moved between the Farnese theater, the Palatine library, the halls of the National Gallery and the Petitot Gallery.
