"Vida y Obra de Frida Kahlo" immersive audiovisual exhibition in Madrid from 2nd December

The Life and Work of Frida Kahlo exhibition, designed by ACCIONA Ingeniería Cultura, has arrived at The Teatro Istante in Madrid. The exhibition tries to bring visitors closer to the work of the Mexican artist and to propose an environmental perspective in the face of the climate crisis.
A set of projections and more than 2,500 animated frames painted by hand by different artists make up this exhibition, which can be seen in a space created ad hoc for this project in the Delicias neighborhood of Madrid (Teatro Instante; C / Palos de la Frontera twenty).
Life and Work of Frida Kahlo takes a tour through the different artistic stages of the painter, which can be enjoyed while the background music of the composer and pianist Arturo Cardelús, nominated for a Goya Award.
The production techniques used for the audiovisual pieces have sought the best way to reproduce and reinterpret the artist's pictorial style. A graphic investigation of his painting has been carried out in order to give life to elements and characters of his work from numerous hand-made sketches. And to recreate environments and contextualize his life, illustrations have been created that mix photos, drawings and collages.
The income generated by the visitors will be used to plant trees in Madrid and Mexico, in collaboration with the local governments of both cities and their renaturation plans.
