The Fondation Beyeler, located in Riehen, close to Basel, will host artistic celebrations throughout the entire year, inviting the public to gradually engage with the enriched interaction of art, architecture, and nature across its venue. This year-long initiative will honor the museum's iconic collection, showcasing an exhibition of significant works complemented by new acquisitions and loans from prominent private collections, displayed across both existing and newly enlarged spaces, with seasonal changes. The lineup of temporary exhibitions will feature a retrospective of Ruth Asawa beginning in October, followed by major solo shows on Frida Kahlo, Louise Bourgeois, and Elizabeth Peyton, each providing a unique chance to deeply examine the artists' practices.
FRIDA KAHLO
31 January – 17 May 2027
This solo exhibition dedicated to Frida will feature around 50 paintings, showing together approximately one third of her entire painted oeuvre. In addition, 15 characteristic drawings will be on display.
